Batholith
and Burn
Inspired
by
Scottish scenery, this picture has a deeply bevelled pine frame. It is
entirely worked in woollen stitching.

Country Cottage
This
quaint
scene is picked out in cross stitch, long stitch and French knots,
bordered by lace on a soft blue card. The frame is of wood, in a pine
finish, and it hangs from screw eyes at the rear.

Meandering
This
entire
picture is stitched in wools, and sewn onto the black, felt-like
backing. The river is sewn in glittery fingering.
Hung on a wooden dowel rod by a plaited woollen rope.

rope hanging.

Squirrel
After
many
years studying squirrels in Greenwich Park, this embroidery was
inspired by one chap, who was always trying to hide by standing still
in the open, with one leg raised! The stitches are long and
short, edged with back stitch, The felt backing is stitched
to a grey felt, and framed in a pine frame.

The Thorn and the Wall
This collage is embroidered over to depict a moss
covered swall and the bush that sees the seasons through. A
ladybird, a moth and spider's web are to be found if you look carefully
(no spider!).
Hung on a rose bush bough.
